Wow...long time since I've blogged again! Hard to find the time to blog or scrapbook with all this summer fun going on!
Memorial Day & Ken's birthday at Higgins with Grandma & Papa started the summer! KC (Grandma & Papa's Golden Retriever) caught his first fish in the lake, which he had been working on for years! Within a month later, he passed away. The last wonderful memory we have of him is being proud of his mighty catch!
Then the last day of school! Mrs. Keeney (teacher) and Mrs. Mertz (speech therapist) with Kenny on his last day at Bushnell Elementary. He will be starting at Alto Elementary in Kindergarten in the fall. Mrs. Mertz will still be his speech therapist, which we are very happy about! Josey in front of the tree at her school on her last day, every year her first day of school and last, are taken in front of that tree. She will be starting her last year at Murray Lake Elementary this year...I can't believe it!!!
Also in the first week of June, Josey had her dance recital. She did a great job!
Also in the first week in June (yes, that first week was busy!!), Kenny had football camp. He was running so fast we couldn't get a good picture, ha ha!
For the 4th of July, we went to Ludington with the Micho's. We took their boat out on Lake Michigan for awhile and were lucky enough to get a close look at the Badger! That is a HUGE boat!!
Of course, we can't forget the fireworks over the lake, they were beautiful! Tessa, Josey & Kenny sat on the front of the boat to watch them.
We did find some time to do a little landscaping. A $40 pool kit from Meijer and some old concrete from our ripped up sidewalk, made for a pretty, relaxing water fall.
Then there was Josealyn Lee's 10th birthday party with a lava theme! We had molten lava cake, nacho cheese sauce for chips, a lava craft project with vegetable oil, water, food coloring and alka seltzer in a water bottle, and lava lamps!!
A picture that I love!!! This is having some fun family time camping!!
Then, the big day!!!! Locks of Love day!! Here is the before and after! 10 inches are finally cut off!! What a special thing for her to do :)
